December Currently

What are you currently up to?  Farley's super famous linky party is here. Can't wait to read, comment, visit your blog and meet new friends.

My life is about to get busy! Report cards, assessments, standardized testing, Christmas celebration, on-line grades (which took my about 4 hours last quarter), Christmas shopping, house cleaning...

I love opening my Christmas boxes and looking at my collection of photo cards. I only keep the photo cards :)  I use the other cards for some of my geometry lessons. Will take some pictures this year.

We do send a family card every year. We have only done that since we had kids. Sometimes it is only the kids, some times the whole family. It depends if I can convince the hubby.

My kids are working on their Christmas list. My daughter keeps adding something every time she watches a new commercial (I better turn the TV off). My son has legos, legos, and more legos. We have plenty of legos! and trying to convince him to ask for something else has been a bit unsuccessful. The Mr. has a few clothing pieces for his climbing adventures, and so far, I have thought about a keyboard for my ipad ( I wish I had the mini one!), a camera bag, and a  laminator.

I have a dear friend or two in bloggy land. I am hoping to surprise them with something this holiday season. I feel their love and support every time we 'talk'. Is there anything you'll recommend?

My new principal starts Monday. Wish me luck! I miss my old one terribly and I just want to remain open minded.

  2. I am a North Carolina blogger too! Good luck with your new principal. I know it can be hard to like someone who takes over for someone you loved but maybe he/she will be great!! Stop by my blog sometime if you get a chance!

  3. Good luck vibes are being sent your way! Having a new principal in the middle of the year can't be easy.We just got our holiday cards in the mail and now I need to make address labels and get those puppies out. Good luck deciding which pictures to use. That is always the great debate in our house:)

  4. I so wish I had sent a Christmas card every year. After the triplets were born, I sent cards for the first two years and that was it. I should really do that again.

    1. Triplets sounds like so much fun. Maybe a collage showing off their personalities. I can hardly get my two to sit still for a minute!

  7. That can be stressful getting a new principal. We got a new one two years ago and we are not close. She still pronounces my name wrong everytime I see her, which isn't often. I really need to make a new Christmas card. We actually made a video card last year and I may just use that one again:)

  10. We just got a new principal in September. So far he's pretty good...I've had very little interaction with him but when I have he has been an avid listener which I think is so valuable! I want an Ipad for Christmas. I'm leaning towards the mini one. What do you recommend?

    1. I love my ipad, but I wish it was smaller. In my mind the mini is the perfect one because I can carry it in my purse.
I do not use it much because I am always on using my school laptop.

  20. I TOTALLY understand about the nerves with a new principal coming. My amazing one that gave me my job, whom was amazingly awesome left us :( and it has been hard adjusting. Definitely keep an open mind! :) My cousins christmas lists just keep growing in the same way your daughters does, everytime they see something new on TV! hehe :) Wishing you a wonderful holiday and luck with your new principal!!
