July Currently

July first and Farley have arrived!  I am working on my Daily Five post for tomorrow.
  For now I am currently...
SkippyJon Jones is my favorite read aloud.  My students love to listen to my real accent while clapping and singing along.  If you have a Mexican teacher, the best thing she can do is read about El Skippito bandito :)

Daily Cafe is my go to book when creating mini lesson and guided reading plans. I am seriously obsessed with Daily Five!

Feliz Domingo!

  7. I love Skippy but I don't think my pretend accent come seven close. . . I know it would sound so much better with a good accent! I just pulled my CAFE book off of my bookshelf. Between the book studies going around and people mentioning it I've decided to start reading :)

  11. Hah! I love it! My mom is from Puebla and growing up, I perfected her accent so, reading Skippy with an accent is easy for me. My mom doesn't appreciate it, but it makes her laugh too! I just "found" you. So excited!
